The relay race consists of 4 distances that are covered in the following order: 10 - 3 - 4.5 - 10 kilometers. All routes go through the beautiful surroundings of Leidse Hout and Oud Poelgeest. Start and finish are on the Leiden Athletics track.

Article 1 Definitions

    In these general terms and conditions the following definitions apply: Event: a running competition organized by the Organizer in any year. Participant: the natural person, not acting as an entrepreneur, who has registered for participation in the Event in a manner permitted by the Organizer. Agreement: the agreement for the participation of the Participant in the Event. Organizer: LUHV Currimus (registered with the Chamber of Commerce Rotterdam under number 27341154). These general terms and conditions apply to every Agreement.

 

Article 2 Participation

    Participation in the Event is only possible for a natural person who has reached at least the minimum age set by the Organizer on the day of the event. There is a minimum age of 15 years.

 

    The Participant may only participate in the Event if he has completed the relevant registration form completely and truthfully, if the registration fee has been paid in full and if the participant has agreed to the general terms and conditions. The Organizer reserves the right at all times to remove registrations with falsely entered personal data. Participation in the Event is done by the Participant personally. It is therefore not permitted to allow another person to participate in the Event instead of the Participant. If the Participant has registered, cancellation and refund of the registration fee is not possible. If the Participant has registered, it is possible to change the order of runners. to change. Transferring an Agreement to a third party is possible by changing the registration. The date until which this is possible is stated on the event's website on the 'register' page. When registering, the Participant undertakes to pay the registration fee including ordered extras, regardless of actual participation. If the Event is canceled due to exceptional circumstances If the event cannot take place, the registration fee will not be refunded. The Organizer may decide to terminate, suspend or neutralize the Event prematurely based on exceptional circumstances. The Organizer may also decide to change the route to be walked or the distance to be covered due to exceptional circumstances. In these cases, no refund of the registration fee will take place. Paragraph 8 applies to this. A decision by the Organizer not to allow the Event to take place does not create any liability for reimbursement of the costs incurred by the Participant.

 

Article 3 Liability

    Participation is at your own risk. The Organizer is not liable for any damage, by whatever name, that the Participant may suffer as a result of Participation, unless this damage is the direct result of intent or gross negligence attributable to the Organizer. This exclusion of liability also applies to serious types of damage, such as all possible types of damage resulting from injury or death. If, despite the provisions of the first paragraph of this article, the Organizer's liability for damage to the Participant must be assumed, the Organizer's obligation remains to compensate for that damage, limited to a maximum of the amount that the Organizer's insurer pays out in respect of that damage. The Participant must be adequately insured against the risk of damage that he or a surviving relative may suffer as a result of his death, injury or illness caused by his participation in the Event. The Participant declares that he is aware of the fact that participation requires good health in both a psychological and physical sense, and declares that he meets this requirement and that he will adequately exercise himself through training and otherwise have prepared for the Event. The Organizer expressly and urgently advises the Participant to undergo a sports medical examination in connection with participation in the Event. The Participant indemnifies the Organizer against damage that third parties may suffer as a result of actions or omissions attributable to the Participant with regard to the Event. The Participant must be adequately insured against the risk of liability for the damage referred to. Sponsors of the Event and the municipality(s) in which the Event takes place are excluded from liability on the same basis as the Organizer.

 

Article 4 Portrait right

The Participant gives permission in advance to the Organizer and its partners for the publication of photos and images and the like taken during or around the Event, in which the Participant is visible. This is described in detail in the 'Privacy Policy', which is part of these general terms and conditions. The 'Privacy Policy' is available online on the website.

 

Article 5 Personal data

The personal data provided by the Participant will be included in a file by the Organizer. By entering into the Agreement, the Participant grants permission to the Organizer to use the personal data for sending information to the Participant and to provide the personal data to the Organizer and its partners for the purpose of sending information to the Participant. The Participant is allowed at any time to indicate, free of charge, in writing or by e-mail, that he objects to the Organizer sending information or to the provision of personal data, after which the Organizer will stop sending or providing personal data. By entering into the Agreement, the Participant grants permission to the Organizer to make his name and competition results public, for example by means of publication in newspapers and via the internet. Article 6 Emergency services and health

During LUHV Currimus events, various emergency services are active to provide first aid or other care in the event of participants' health problems. The organizer reserves the right to provide details of participants to emergency services and/or to request information from these emergency services when care needs to be provided to the participant in question by the emergency service(s) involved. This includes personal data of the participant himself and the emergency number that can be provided for some events, or starting numbers. Emergency services include the Red Cross, first aid, ambulance, hospital, police and fire brigade.

 

Article 7 Dispute settlement

Disputes between the Organizer and the Participant will be settled by arbitration, to the exclusion of the civil court, in accordance with the arbitration regulations of the Athletics Union or, in the absence thereof, the regulations of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute. A dispute is deemed to exist if one of the parties declares that this is the case.

Article 8 Final provision

If one or more articles of these conditions are void or unlawful, for whatever reason, this will not affect the validity of the other parts of the conditions.

What do we use your data for?

Publication of results

Drawing up a ranking of participants is inherent to a competition such as the event. So it is part of participating in the event.

Requests to be removed from the results list can be granted, but please note that this means that your results will not count towards points allocation, rankings and possibly the payment of prize money.

Participants can request to delete their participant number, their surname and first name, as well as age, so that their identification is not possible afterwards by sending a request to bestuur@currimus.nl stating the event, distance participated, surname and first name and result. Proof of identity may be requested.

 

Use of photos and videos

Photos, videos and other audiovisual material are taken during the event. The event takes place in a publicly accessible place. By participating in a public event, you accept that photographs and other audiovisual material will be taken of the event in which you are visible, but where the footage is not built around you as a central figure. We have a legitimate interest in using such photos and audiovisual material for the promotion and experience of our events.
